Are Exams More Tiring For Parents Than Children?

Exams are very tiring both for parents & for children. So involved are the parents with the exams that it is they rather than the children who need psychological help.

Some parents are not competent enough to guide their children in any of the major subjects. They run from pillar to post to arrange tutions, borrow notes, get previous exam papers, important question, etc. Some of these anxieties are justified, but are the emotional blackmails, sibling comparisons that the parents indulge in, justified? Do parents stop to think of the plight of we children?

If parents could devote more time to the children as a daily habit and not as an annual feature, perhaps, we would be better off at times of exams. Sometimes parents have such unreasonable expectations from we children that it is beyond our capacity to fulfill them. After all, each child cannot stand first in the class or get highest marks in every subject.

Moreover, if our curriculum is a little less text-oriented and if we are taught how to analyse a particular idea for ourselves. But our parents think that reading books other than textbooks is a waste of time. Even a well-deserved break after hours of pondering over books is considered a waste of time.

So this is my plea to parents, please, we are also human, We can also be responsible. We also have the potential Please, give us a chance.
(chance to prove .........)
